LJ Reynolds was a member of the group Chocolate Syrup and, at a time when he was pursuing a solo career, he met Ron Banks of The Dramatics at the Apollo Theatre in New York City following a performance by the group. It happened that one member of the Dramatics, William “Willie Gee” Howard, was absent that night and LJ auditioned for Banks backstage. It wasn’t long before LJ, who was signed to the Don Davis production company as well as the Dramatics, began to occasionally sit in with the Dramatics during Howard’s absences.

In 1973, Howard’s decision to leave the group opened the door for LJ’s entrance. LJ’s vocal presence and permanent entry into the group was evidenced with the release of the R&B Top Ten single, “Hey You! Get Off My Mountain,” and again with “Welcome Back Home”. In 1981, LJ decided to go solo although reuniting with The Dramatics to record new material every few years since the early 80’s. They still occasionally reunite for concerts and other performances.

This solo album from LJ demonstrates his great vocal talent and praise of the Lord with inspiring arrangements and production by Tony Camillo.
